Founder & Managing Principal, Native Nations Alliance
Mr. Sweet is the founder and managing principal of the Native Nations Alliance. He has over 35 years of land development and construction experience. Presently in the latter part of his professional career, he has focused his efforts on economic development projects for Tribal Nations. Mr. Sweet has demonstrated a diverse body of knowledge sourcing and executing sustainable development projects across the United States and serving in various capacities as a commissioning specialist, construction project manager, financial campaign planner, owner representative, and tribal liaison/advisor. He provides a broad level of expertise to tribal stakeholders that spans a variety of market sectors such as cultural, education, federal, gaming & hospitality, healthcare, industrial, multi-family housing, municipal governance, and renewable energy.
Mr. Sweet’s current and prior business and community participation and affiliations include the following: Smile Network International, board of directors & tribal liaison; Gem Lake Economic Development (past) co-chair; Builders Association of the Twin Cities, (past) member; Partnership Committee for Minnesota Special Olympics, (past) volunteer; Tribal College Consortium (TCC) DeMaND Workforce Project, advisory board serving Montana TCC’s Aaniih Nakoda College and Salish Kootenai College and North Dakota TCC’s Cankdeska Cikana College and United Tribes Technical College.
